Mark & Cheryl

Cheryl was raised in a farming community north of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and Mark grew up in the Amazon jungle in Tarapoto, Peru. They met at Caronport High School in the 1970s, began dating in 1981, and were married in 1983. They have four grown children.

Cheryl is a trained Child and Youth Care Counsellor and Executive Coach, and holds a Master's degree in Leadership. She loves walking alongside young adults, praying with others, and seeing lives transformed.

Mark has training in Christian Education, music and leadership, and is a journeyman welder. He is passionate about encouraging others in their relationship with God.

During his welding years, Mark sensed God calling him to be a "son of encouragement," like Barnabas in the book of Acts. He has seen that calling lived out as he walks with others toward a deeper understanding of their identity in Christ — because no amount of talent can replace the conviction that we are loved by God.
