R&L

R and L, along with their two young adult sons N and L, currently reside in Edmonton, where they work with PALM Ministry Association — a charity that serves new Canadians, meeting their practical needs as they settle in Canada and sharing the hope that we have in Christ. For seven years this family lived in Central Asia, among a predominantly Muslim people group. When they returned to Canada they spent two years teaching at Ambrose, and joined the Foothills family.

For the past ten-plus years R and L have provided leadership with PALM to a team of staff and volunteers, in their mission of embracing newcomers to Canada with God's love. Seeing lives transformed — of both the newcomer and the church people who work with them — is a great blessing. It also brings R and L great joy to see their sons get involved in the ministry as well. Both N and L have volunteered on Saturday mornings to tutor children from immigrant homes.
