Rick & Patricia
Rick Love — M.Div. and Ph.D. from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois — taught at seminaries in the Philippines and Canada before becoming Director of Love New Canadians, a consulting ministry that equips local churches for ministry with immigrants. Rick grew up attending Foothills Alliance Church and has many fond memories of those days. Patricia Love has master's degrees in both Intercultural Studies and Teaching English as a Second Language.
Both Rick and Patti served as missionaries in the Philippines for 11 years, and both are ordained with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Patti became Pastor of Intercultural Ministries at Foothills Alliance Church in 2006 and continues to serve new Canadians through this ministry. Rick and Patti have four adult children.
Together they have worked with more than 300 churches and ministries across eight provinces in Canada, helping them develop pathways to Jesus for immigrants in their neighbourhoods. Patti has been the Pastor of Intercultural Ministries at Foothills since 2006, while Rick became Director of Love New Canadians in 2014. Together they share a passion to equip churches for ministry with immigrants.
