What if the things we call “ours” were never really ours to begin with? In 1 Chronicles 29:9–14, David and the people give generously—and then make a surprising confession: “Everything comes from you.” Our money, possessions, abilities, opportunities, and even the strength we use to earn them are gifts entrusted to us by God.
